Leeds United's new £36milllion signing will need time to adapt the Premier League, according to Lee Sharpe. Leeds smashed their transfer record to bring in Georginio Rutter from Hoffenheim in January. The forward cost a cool £36 million from the Bundesliga side and penned a five-and-a-half year deal in Yorkshire. Sharpe, who was Leeds' joint record signing in 1996 when they paid £4.5m for his services from Manchester United, has warned it could be hard for Rutter to find his groove mid-season.

A pulsating 'sewage-monster' that greeted a disgusted homeowner after several days of constant rain has been captured on camera. The mysterious footage, which shows the squirming mass of worms writhing in every direction, was found in shallow water outside an apartment in Houston, Texas. It is believed the mass of worms could be a colony of tubifex worms, also known as sludge worms, or sewage worms.  WHAT ARE TUBIFEX WORMS?  Tubifex worms have often been used as live fish food in the past, although they can be infected with various diseases when harvested from sewers.

A mob of 40 people who looted a FedEx truck while it was stopped at a red light in Memphis also ransacked two Tennessee gas stations less than two hours later.  The same group are believed to be responsible for the series of burglaries on Saturday night, Memphis police told Local Memphis.  Around 10pm on Saturday thieves stole $2,000 worth of items from the Exxon at 3483 Airways Boulevard.  At least $15,000 worth of merchandise was then stolen from the Fill-N-Go gas station at 3084 South Third Street, a ten-minute drive from the first business.
