Jennifer Aniston's beautiful tribute to Adam Sandler upstaged by 'bored celebrity'
Everyone was gushing over Jennifer Aniston’s adorable tribute to Adam Sandler at the People’s Choice Awards – well except for one person, apparently.
Jennifer Aniston walked up onto the People’s Choice Awards stage to honor Adam Sandler, her long-term friend and former co-star in multiple projects. The funny man was celebrated for his impressive comedy and film career. So the Friends star being asked to pay tribute beforehand was fitting. Fans on social media loved how Jennifer Aniston called Adam Sandler her ‘brother from another mother’, but eagled-eyed viewers caught one celebrity not that bothered by it.
Jennifer Aniston’s tribute to Adam Sandler upstaged by ‘bored’ star

She began at the awards show: “Tonight, I am here to recognize my very good friend. My brother from another mother. And extraordinary father, husband and one of the most loyal friends you could ever, ever, have.”
Adam then stood up before the Murder Mystery star ordered him to sit back down.
She continued: “No, sit down, Adam, I’m not done! Sit down! Eager to get up here! I love you!”
She then spoke about his huge career, from Saturday Night Live to his comedy and drama movies.
“And yet in all of this extraordinary success, he has stuck to his roots; he’s never strayed from the friends he’s had for 35 years and counting,” she added.
“He created a world where he brings them into his movies — basically getting to hang out with his buddies all day. And it doesn’t hurt that his friends happen to be some of the most talented and hilarious writers and actors out there.”
Aniston then said on stage: “Being his friend has been one of the great joys of my life.
“I’m proud to honor him tonight and I’d happily keep honoring him for decades and decades to come because he deserves all the love in the world, all right? Come on, it’s the Sandman!”
However, as beautiful as the speech was, one celebrity was caught being more interested in their phone. They were filmed being proccupried instead of listening to Jennifer Aniston’s tribute to Adam Sandler.
Dorit Kemsley, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, was seen scrolling on her phone. And if you look at the clip, all those around her were watching the stage. They knew the etiquette.
Awkward.
Adam’s speech was just as iconic
But the powerful duo wouldn’t be fan-favorites without their wit, talent and relationship with their followers. So when it came to Adam Sandler’s turn, he pretended he thought Jennifer Aniston called him People’s Sexist Man Alive. He wrote a speech revolved around that – in true Sandman style.
He couldn’t get through it without laughing, and fans loved it.
Adam tells the crowd his speech was inspired by him mishearing his agent on the phone when he was told about the award. The 50 First Dates star mistakenly thought he had won People’s Sexiest Man Alive award instead.
“So I wrote a speech for that and I don’t have one prepared for the icon thing, but I’m going to do the speech I wrote,” he began.
Sandler continued, in his signature comedy voice: “Hello, ladies and gentlemen. My name is Adam Sandler and I am the Sexiest Man Alive. Can I get a, ‘Hell yeah’?”
The 57-year-old thanked the magazine’s “academy members of hotness and sexual attractiveness” for recognizing him as “the man who made our entire country the horniest this year and was by far the most talked about person in the bedroom.”
“I am trying to be gracious, People Magazine,” Adam went on, but couldn’t help but laugh. “But I have to admit three words keep popping into my head right now: about freaking time.”
“For decades Adam Sandler has been waiting patiently on the sexy bench with his legs wide open, radiating sensuality, finger-licking desirability and a slight man bulge, tastefully displayed for his or her pleasure.
“But now that this award has finally been bestowed upon me, it will see proudly on my nightstand where it will witness many feats of romantic gymnastics performed for me by my fine as hell wife Jackelina,” he said, in reference to his wife, Jackie Sandler.
He goes on to pay tribute to his daughters as he talks about his lack of ‘abs’.
Sandman, never change. Please.
