Inside the wild rumor Prince Harry and Meghan Markle wanted to sue South Park

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were featured in an episode of the animated comedy series South Park shortly after the release of his memoir, and the clip was hailed hilarious by fans.

Ever the controversial TV show, it’s only fitting it would rip into the couple. The episode was released on February 15, 2023, not even a month after Prince Harry released his tell-all book Spare. The prince, 39, and his wife, Meghan Markle, have gone to various lengths and engaged in legal battles with media corporations and newspapers due to what he perceived as privacy breaches.

South Park made fun of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

In the clip, the royals can be seen being invited to appear on the fictional Good Morning Canada and being owned by the host about their privacy. They carry signs onto the stage, with Meghan’s reading: “Stop looking at us!” while Harry’s reads: “We want our privacy!!”

Throughout the segment, they can be heard chanting, “We want privacy!” The presenter asks Harry about his book (which he calls “Waagh”) and says: “You’ve lived a life with the royal family, you had everything handed to you, but you say your life has been hard now you’ve written all about it in your new book.”

He then calls the duke out, pointing out he “hates” journalists but has written a book that “reports on the royal family” … much like journalists.

Towards the end of the clip, the couple finally finds somewhere to live in peace after parading through busy streets shouting they want privacy – none other than South Park in Colorado.

Meghan’s character tells Harry: “I think this might be the place! If we moved here then people would think we were really serious about wanting to be normal.”

The rest of the episode focuses on Kyle, one of the friends, trying to rebrand himself. However, the royals have become his new neighbor and he can’t stand them.
