Logos are an important part of design work, and there are many ways and places to create them. With Kittl's browser-based design platform, there are four ways of creating a logo using its tools and features.
What Is Kittl?
Kittl is a browser-based intuitive design platform that's easily accessible to anyone with an internet connection. It offers a forever-free plan, and the Kittl Pro membership at $120/year gives you access to more features, projects, and upload space.
Kittl is similar to Canva, but it offers better features for logo design. You may find similar features in other software, but Kittl provides all these features without the need to access multiple platforms for one project.
Let's show you four ways you can use Kittl to create a fantastic logo for your brand design, T-shirt design, or new business venture. Ensure you've researched how to create a killer logo before jumping in. If you're making a logo for a brand, consider colors, shapes, motifs, and font types that may affect how your brand is perceived.
1. How to Create a Logo Using Kittl Elements

Open a new artboard on Kittl by selecting New Project from the homepage. Then select Standard and hit Create.

A blank artboard can be daunting. Luckily for Kittl users, Kittl Elements can quickly help you fill your artboard with pre-designed assets to create a fantastic logo. Hover your cursor over the left-hand menu to select Elements to open Kittl's Elements library.

In Elements, you'll find Shapes, Ornaments, Illustrations, and Abstract. Some of them wouldn’t be considered good for logo design since they might be raster elements such as masks, textures, or anything with gradients.
There are some important differences between raster and vector images. Ultimately, a raster image isn't scalable for the standards a logo graphic requires, while a vector graphic is infinitely scalable without losing quality.
On the right Settings panel, you can change the color of your elements, and add borders, shadows, and other effects to create a harmonious graphic.

Once you've placed and adjusted all your elements, use Kittl's text tool (Tt on the left) to add a variety of text to your logo. Double-click the text to bring up the Settings and Effects panels on the right. Here, you can change the color, shading, and also use the curve effects.
Once you've completed your logo, it's time to export it. Select Download at the top-right and adjust your download settings. Kittl Free users are unable to export as a vector SVG, but Pro users can. If you're not exporting as an SVG, try not to scale up or down as it will lead to quality loss.
2. How to Create a Logo Using Kittl's AI Generator

Kittl's intuitive AI generator allows you to create editable vector logos in seconds. To use Kittl's AI logo generator, open a New Project, and on the menu left of the artboard, select Kittl AI.
Select Logo Generator and use the text box to write your logo prompt. If you need help, you can use the existing prompts underneath to inspire you. Once written, select Generate Logo and wait for four generated graphics to appear.

If you're unhappy with the generated images, you can regenerate to get four different options. The generated logos are completely editable if you need to adjust them—you can change the colors of all the elements, rewrite the text, and change or add text effects. You can also replace elements from the Elements library.

The AI tool in Kittl saves a lot of time and is a great option for when you're out of ideas.
3. How to Create a Logo Using a Kittl Template

As with Kittl's Elements library, there's also a pre-made Templates library with editable templates for your logo creations. The template library is made up of designs by Kittl users. Due to that, some templates may be more professional than others, but they're all free to use, edit, and republish as your own once edited.

From the homepage, select Templates > Logos. You can refine your search with the tags above the templates to find a pre-made design that suits your vision.

Click on your chosen design to open it on an artboard so that you can start editing. Double-click on any element—text, shapes, colors—to edit them.
You can delete any element and add anything new from the Elements or Text menus. Once you're happy with the result, download your logo.
4. How to Create a Logo by Importing to Kittl

Sometimes you might find it better to create your logo design by drawing it traditionally first or using elements you created elsewhere. You can easily create a logo in Kittl using a hand-drawn or digitally-drawn image.
Once you've drawn your image, scan it in or save it from your external drawing software, and open the file in Kittl from the Uploads tab on an artboard. You can upload PNG, JPG, SVG, or WEBP files.

If you're a free Kittl user, you won't be able to vectorize a non-vector upload, but if you upload an SVG it will stay vectorized and editable in Kittl. Uploading non-vector files will require a Kittl Pro subscription to vectorize and edit them in Kittl, but they can still be used if you don't require color changes or vectorizing.
If your files were uploaded with transparent backgrounds, they'll retain the transparency in Kittl.
Once uploaded, open your image in the artboard. Select it, then select Image Vectorizer on the right-hand menu. If you uploaded an image with an unwanted background, use the AI Background Remover tool first—both tools are only available to Pro users.

Now you can use your hand-drawn or digitally-created image as an element in Kittl. Add any fonts, other elements, and effects to finish your logo. Export it as an SVG—if you're a Pro user—or PNG to use your new logo.
