You Can Rent This Converted Water Tower Beach House

From far away, you'd think this structure was a water tower. But as you get closer, you'll see that that this historic water tower has actually been converted into an incredible three-story beach house.

Located in the westernmost corner of Orange County, California, this water tower was originally built around 1892 to service steam engines that traveled along the California Coast. While the current structure was built in the 1940s, as steam engines stopped being used it nearly was knocked down in the1980s. Thankfully a group of local residents started a "Save Our Water Tower" movement and commissioned architects and builders to convert the water tower into a house.
